Getting Started and Your Local Wallet
Create and back up your wallet#
On the market page, click the wallet button at the top and choose to create a local wallet. The page asks you to set a local password of at least 12 characters, generates 24 recovery words in your browser, and requires you to verify two of those words before saving the wallet. Write down every word offline in its original order. Anyone with the recovery phrase can control the assets derived from it.
One recovery phrase derives both a Quantus QTC address and a BSC address. Always check the network before sending or receiving. QTC uses a Quantus mainnet address; USDT and BNB use the same BSC address. The wallet button at the top shows only the first and last 5 characters of the QTC address. Open wallet details to view and copy the full address.
The page provides recovery phrase backup, encrypted JSON file download and import options. An encrypted backup file requires the password set when that backup was created. If you have only the file and have forgotten its password, you cannot use it to restore the wallet. After clearing browser data or changing devices, you need either the recovery phrase or the encrypted file together with its matching password. The platform cannot recover your local password or recovery phrase for you.
Unlocking, balances and network fees#
After unlocking, wallet details show your QTC, USDT and BNB balances and the full receiving addresses on both networks. Click Refresh balances to read your balances again. If a network request fails, try again after connectivity recovers; do not treat a failed balance request as a confirmed zero balance.
Market wallet binding and BSC transactions require BNB for gas. The page requires a BNB balance greater than 0.0001 BNB before binding. Each transaction must also pay the applicable network fee at the time. QTC transfers and market QTC delivery require their corresponding network fees as well.
Bind both wallets#
Before your first market trade, click Bind both wallets in wallet details. The browser uses your local wallet to prove that you control the QTC and BSC addresses, then submits a binding transaction on BSC mainnet. Once binding succeeds, the wallet card shows Dual-chain wallet bound. If your balance is insufficient, a network request fails or new mainnet transactions are paused, the page stops the operation and displays its status.
Binding is required for market buying and selling. Viewing public orders and trade history does not require unlocking or binding. The standalone Transfer feature is separate from market orders.
